Deine PNY scheint die ältere Version sein. Die neueren haben eine grüne Platine.
War bei dir auch ein halbes Kilo Wärmeleitpaste mit der Konsistenz von Knetgummi auf der GPU?

OMG, ja und wie!
Die Paste sieht aber sehr verdächtig nach Arctic Silver oder etwas ähnlichem gleich.

Habe die Karte letztes Jahr zerlegt und da war die Paste schon gut fest. Fast bröcklig.
Mit Wattestäbchen und Isopropanol allerdings problemlos zu entfernen.
Auch am NVIO Chip war diese Paste vorhanden.

Habe sie nun duch Arctic Silver 5 ersetzt.
Allerdings lagert die Karte seit November vergangenen Jahres nur noch in der Vitrine seit meine alte GTX285 deren Funktion in der LAN-Kiste übernommen hat.

Die 8800GTX wies sogar schon mal einen schweren Fehler auf. Allerdings klappte die Backofenreparatur sehr anständig.
Geglaubt hatete ich diesen HokusPokus vorher allerdings nicht. Aber es half und die Karte funktioniert seitdem wieder einwandfrei.

Wie weit hast Du Deine Karte Ocen können, turrican? (Unter Normalbedingungen versteht sich

)

Alle bisher von mir getesteten 4600er kamen zwar mit 720MHz RAM-Takt klar, aber mehr als 310-315MHz GPU-Takt waren noch nicht möglich...

315 MHz ist recht wenig. Ich bekomme meine Ti 4200 schon auf 315+ MHz übertaktet. Müsste eigentlich mal nen neuen Bench machen. Ich schmeiß mal den Pentium 4 an... :spitze:

Hab selber ne Vanta LT hier.

Ha, ja genau, Du hast da bestimmt wieder mit Temperaturen gebencht, wo selbst den Pinguinen das Zittern kommt. :spitze:

Waren da auch VMods im Spiel?

Aber wie gesagt, mit Standardkühlung sind die 4600er einfach kaum zu Ocen.
Scheint als wäre der 0,15µ Prozess damals schon sehr arg am Limit gewesen und/oder das nV20-/nV25-Design gab einfach nicht mehr her.

Man beachte wie hoch sich die FX-Serie trotz leicht verbessertem Fertigungsprozess (0,13µ) takten ließ. --> 475MHz+

Hast Du von Deiner Extem-OC Karte auch einen 3DMark2001se Screenshot, Turrican?

This is what you get when you have neatly unscrewed your GTX 295 Dual PCB and cleaned it's GPU's, here a Red Edition which looks identical to the normal GTX 295 Dual PCB:

Here a closeup of the main and slave PCB of the main GTX 295 RE:

As you can see the GPU is a G200-400-B3, kinda odd that GPU-Z sees them as GT200 B1 lol, maybe a mistake in GPU-Z?

Here a very nice closeup I was able to shoot of them nasty critters every GTX 295 Dual PCB user feared from the Internal SLI Ribbon Cables arrghhhh The memories rofl! :bonk:

I later figured that these had to be turned around and now they work fine lolz

And here the G200-400-B3's pasted read for HSF montage! :thumbup:

Here I carefully placed the big HSF, also making sure it was placed correctly, due to the first bad rides it gave me, I did learn rofl!

These two long black plastic rods are also parts you must not forget to place, you can also fit them once you have partially screwed both PCB halves together, I did it like this and the other way:

Just make sure you never try to over stress force on the PCB's while getting these two in place once both PCB's have been attached partially to each other, this jittering can also loosen them SLI Ribbon Cables!
