Evtl. kommen noch ein paar Hardwaretechnische Bugfixes (Bessere Kühlung usw...) hinzu, aber momentan rennt er.
Werd auch mal einige Benchmarks damit machen.

Er ist mit den wahnsinnigen 13Gb eigentlich ganz gut ausgelastet.
Aber trotzdem Danke.
Nach dem Zusammenbau und dem Installieren vom BS, Programme, Games usw... finde ich aber dass es die größte Herausforderung auch am längsten dauert: Die Optimierung des Systems.
Bin leider noch weit weg von einer Optimierten Voodookiste.
Die ganzen Treibereinstellungen testen. Für die jeweiligen Games das richtige Profil erstellen und wieder testen.
Aber das, finde ich, ist das schöne an unseren Voodoo's und den dazu gehörigen PC's. Es gibt immer was zu tun!

Ja, auch das Lenkrad wäre keine schlechte Idee, aber Funkmäuse sind Ansichtssache. 
Man kann unter Win98SE / WinME ja ein virtuelles RAM Laufwerk erstellen, dann sind > 512 MB RAM zumindest nicht unnötig! 
Und bei 'ner größeren Festplatte kann man auch noch das eine oder andere Betriebssystem dazu installieren.
Sys 2 ist fertig. Zwar größer ausgefallen als geplant, aber egal...

But mainly it's for 3D modelling and Flight Simulator 2004 with Ultimate Terrain packs.
Flight Simulator X has limitations for typical Aircraft I like to fly heh there fore this move.
What I am selling is the CrossFire setup since the AthlonXP 2700+ with ASUS A7V333 KT333 setup is too important to loose, which is needed as my 3dfx testbed.
So yeaps it's back to AGP my friends but with a Hybrid ATI + 3dfx + AMD Quad Core setup, if you people want me to test or bench other things with it, just fire away.
the Sub Videocard which is going to be installed is deffinitly this one:

Das mit der Isolierung des gewinkelten Striomkabels werde ich dan überarbeiten wen ich demnächst n Window reinmache. Musste halt erstmal das nehmen was ich Stümper da hatte, also Packetklebeband

those pics are just examples to what I'd like to do with that Dual OpteronDC 280 with the Voodoo 5 5500 PCI Macintosh and if possible to render the 3D models in 3dfx Glide also when they are done or convert them to glide 3D renderable models that kind of idea.
Do you use a specific game to render your models or just a kind of engine runtime using Glide?

well they were just examples but yeah Descent series 1, 2 3 as 4 are my main goals.
Though there is a change I cancled the Opteron project since I have 2 R580's in CrossFire it would be wiser to use them as 2 powerfull strea, processors when that patch or driver releases.
since 2 R580's have about the same processing power as 30 Opteron 285's
So what I did is cancel the motherboard I ordered and later on I will upgrade to Opteron 185 instead Dual core 2.6Ghz 2x 1MB L2.
