Windows XP und Voodoo Problem

  • ?(?(?( Seit kurzem hab ich ein riesen Problem mit meinem Windows XP und meiner Voodoo 5. Anfangs kam es immer bei 3D Anwendungen automatisch zum reboot. Grafikkarte aus dem Gerätemanager nehmen, Treiberneuinstallation, DirectX9 Neuinstallation brachte alles nichts. Nach einer kompletten Neuinstallation des Systems hab ich jetzt zwar keinen reboot mehr, aber ein Bluescreen ist auch nicht viel besser. Es kommt eine Fehlermeldung bezüglich der 3dfxvs.dll. Dabei spielt es auch keine Rolle welcher Treiber installiert ist.
    Hat jemand eine brauchbare Lösung für mich?
    Bin für jede Lösung offen.

    P.S. Auch der Tausch von Voodoo 5 5500AGP auf Voodoo 5 5000 PCI brachte nichts ;(

  • Hast du mal probiert ne andere Graka testweise einzubauen? Denn wenn da das gleiche Prob is tip ich auf Arbeitsspeicher. Ansonsten, hast schonmal Netzteil untersucht?

  • Ich werd aus meinem PC nicht schlau.....hab das OS auf eine andere Platte installiert, jetzt gehts...nur fängt er an mitunter die Platten nicht richtig zu finden. Ich tippe jetzt also entweder auf die Festplatte oder das Mainboard.

    Zusatz: Netzteil hat 350 Watt, sollte also ausreichen

  • Ach... 350W heißt gar nix! Welche Leistung auf welchen Leitungen liegt ist entscheident. Aber da gibt es nun viele mögliche fehlerquellen...

  • Sorry, ich bin warscheinlich keine große Hilfe aber die v5 meines bruders und meine v5 hat bei uns nie Probs gemacht was das OS: Windows XP angeht !!!

    Weiß echt nicht was da loß ist... Ich kann mir das garnicht vorstellen ! Naja - also eins weiß ich XP hat keine Probleme mit der Voodoo5 ! Das ist mal klar...

    Das muß was anderes sein. Evtl. ein ServicePack Update für euer Mainboard oder irgendein Setting im BIOS, ein Jumper auf dem Mainboard - ist alles möglich !

    Oder wenn man vorher nVidia-Treiber auf dem PC installiert hatte gibts auch Probleme aber am XP liegts nicht !

  • ich tippe wie gesagt sehr stark aufs mainboard, evtl eine festplatte.
    besorg mir jetzt erstmal ein neues board und auch ne neue platte, und dann sehen wir weiter. die Voodoo ist es defintiv nicht, hatte ja schon ne andere probiert. es kam halt sozusagen über nacht. und eine andere karte ausser der voodoo 5 5500agp bzw der 5 5000pci waren noch nicht verbaut.
    ich hatte so ein problem früher schonmal, damals lags wohl am chipdrive....ging allerdings von selbst wieder weg :mauer:

  • also dx9 läuft bei mir ohne Probleme mit meiner v5 und XP daran kann es dann wahrscheinlich nicht liegen
