Aah yes Tui B737-7K5 with the new Scimitar Split Winglets same as the ones the Ill fated B737-MAX uses.
nice touch, I even wonder of the MAX will ever fly, Seems the MCAS software hasn't been fixed yet, still been hearing them having major issues, be glad the B737-NG 600-900's can easily be upgraded to extend to a longer life span. -
Well - MCAS has been fixed. Lower authority and both AOA sensors are in comparison now, for making sure the redundance.
It is an autoflight system like speed- and machtrim that cannot be deactivated. So it is no longer possible that MCAS trims the stab against the pilots elevator input. Each column input cuts off the MCAS as well as the A/P cutoff switch at the center pedestal.
The one crash caused by MCAS happened because it has trimmed nose down against nose up input of the pilots. They used main elec trim cutoff to stop MCAS influence, but the aerodynamic load made it impossible to trim the stab back to 4 units by cranking manually. Too low alt, too much speed, too less time...
Ultimately, the MCAS was only introduced to ensure that the MAX has the same flight characteristics as NG, and to compensate for the strong rotational effect and center of gravity shift caused by the very large LEAP engines.

PS:
The scimitar winglets are same out from the distance.
In special details they are very different. The lower are quite smaller like that at the NG. -
