Sämtliche 3dfx PCs von VoodooAlert vorgestellt!

  • Gold Leader: Is yout last PC a replacement of this system: Sämtliche 3dfx PCs von VoodooAlert vorgestellt! ?

If so, please note this in future Updates :) I will archive the replaced systems at the bottom of the first post and insert the new ones as active systems.

Firstly I don't have that Dual Opty 850 anymore, the system I have now was the one with the V3 3500 in it, the V5 5500 PCI Mac was the major change the ones you can remove are these:

    Gold Leader (Obsidian2 X-24)
Gold Leader (Voodoo 3 3500 TV AGP)
    Gold Leader #1 (Voodoo 5 5500 AGP)

Gold Leader #2 (Voodoo 5 5500 PCI MAC)

    Gold Leader #3 (Voodoo 5 5500 PCI)

Just to avoid confusion remove systems people don't have or use, it will make the list far more accurate.
You need a list on what people have and not what they don't have, it's how I'd see the logicness in such a list.
The reason is, well I sold everything due to multiple depressions, secondly I been rebuilding what I had lost when it came to the cards I loved using most, that way I can at least regain on what I dearly had lost due to them so called mental fractures., I had 87 3dfx cards at some point in 2007-2009, now it's just back to 2.

The V5 5500 PCI Mac system I am using now is different to all the ones I have listed here, except the system with the V3 3500 basically, the same parts as where the V5 5500 PCI Mac replaced the V3 3500 TV AGP, if I would made an edit no one would of seen it or left alone mentioned it either.
But yea, I just know how such things go, hence my experiences with such things.

So basically just make this the system from me to be in that list:
Gold Leader (Voodoo5 5500 PCI Mac)

And yea that is it for now, sorry for all the troubles.

Still working on my Slot A Matrox/3Dfx build named Nighthawk, but with the motherboard in Australia all due to that the Bios is getting a newly programmed donor chip, it's just taking more time than I had hoped for, can't have everything right.
Nighthawk will be a Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk inspired build, also hence the name, the Nighthawk is my favorite Stealth Fighter.

  • Sorry to hear about that Gold Leader. And good to see you rebuilding with things that have most value to you. <- works good in life too.

Good thing you kept that V5 dvi :)

So your Nighthawk Slot A system will have that V3 3500 and maybe a Matrox M3D, i suppose?

    Wish you all the best.

Hmm many thanks for your concerns :)

No idea yet the V3 3500 I will surely give a go in it but my old plan was the Matrox G400 DH AGP 32MB + 2x Gainward Dragon 3000 PCI 12MB's in SLI< still seeking a pair of those, time to hunt them down I guess :)

As my V5 PCI mac goes, go here:
Strange vertical lines with my V5 PCI mac during bootup

That card been all over the globe even it's from my first 3dfx collection, I would it back in August of 2005 for 60 USD with free shipping from a seller in China, in 2018 I sold it to SWZSSR aka Declan for 350 Eur and this year in 2021 I bought it back + Polymer Recap for 350 as well, and not a week later the VRAM of the main VSA died, Backfire wanted to help me out to get it repaired and yea within a week I will be back here with me, what a crazy ride right! :spitze:

Bottom line I am trying to regain on what I had lost over the past 10 a 12 years and slowly I will get there.

As for Nighthawk, that one is still a work in progress, but I think I can share it here as it will be my older 3dfx retro AMD Athlon based project anyway.

    -------------

2x Gainward Dragon 3000 PCI Voodoo2 12MB's will be hunted down and added for the 3Dfx part of this build, the Matrox Millennium G400 DH AGP 32MB is the main VGA.

Here some pics of the system fully built with the G400 in it, the mobo was sent back to Declan in Adelaide, South Australia, as it's Bios was corrupted he is going to program a new bios chip for this board with Bios 1.6 instead of 1.8, 1.8 was buggy for odd reasons.

The G400 is cooled actively by the Vantec Slot cooling card.

  • Voodoo 4 Geode Low Power Project.

    Meine Begehren

  • Die CPU wird ausgelesen als Athlon-XP -> ID: Geode NX 1750+

Warum wäre das andere ein langweiliger Prozessor? Kann der was wichtiges nicht, oder schlechter?

    - Backfire -
