Although last Monday I bought a Herpa Models Tupolev Tu-144LL Limited Edition @ 1:200 and it's made of diecast metal, which is this one:

Anyways Yesterday I got it, and I found out it's left wing's front edges had paint scraped off, and yeah well this was rather disappointing :\
So I got in contact with the Aviation mega Store they asked me to make pics of it which are these:

They mailed me back and told me they let UPS mail me a retour label so I can return it without extra shipping costs, This Friday I have a brand new replacement

Herpa Models has some nice L-1011's tho the Cathay Paciffic L-1011-500 might be added someday
Just not at the moment, I have much rarer stuff to collect like the Western UK Models Tu-144D CCCP-77112 & RA-77114 these two are different than the Herpa releases.

Western UK Models CCCP-77112; This one still carries the Aeroflot logo, this was when it flew for Aeroflot, from 1979 to 1981, before it was delivered to Technik MUseum in Sinsheim, Germany.

Western UK Models RA-77114; this one has Tu-160 Blackjack Engines, and the ockba logo is not on it but it does have the Rockwell & McDonnel Dougls logo.s.
This u-144LL flew like this when it was being used by NASA< the MOCKBA Version was when it was returned to Zukovski Moscow Russia, the engines were also changed with the original Tu-144D engines, when it was returned to Russia.

No I never seen one and I know of the one in Sinsheim I have it in my collection if you scroll back and yes my dad plans on taking me there hopefully next year

Boom will have a cruising speed of Mach 2.2

Tu-144 goes Mach 2.35, still the fastest SST Passenger plane made

Both queens are neatly packed with upper thin plastic protection, the Wing probes of the B747-206B also had plastic protection covers, all very carefully and well packed a very important thing imo Great Job Inflight 200 & JC Wings :cool:

The KLM Ticket was from a trip I had on a KLM B747-306 PH-BUW on Dec 22 1985 & Jan 24 1986was for my 4 week Vacation from to The Netherlands ,was at the time I lived in Australia:

Another top angled view of this majestic oldie it gives me magical memories as I flew on this very aircraft on Jan 27/28 1980 from Amsterdam to Dubai to Singapore to Melbourne to Sydney to move from The Netherlands to Australia
That aircraft was also the PH-BUA which is exactly the same as this model which also had this 1971 KLM Retro livery!
So life could not get any better after finding and buying this fantastic model

The purple paint seems the be metallic as well.

This model wasn't a cheap one , but if you want the best you pay the biggest amount of coin.

It's consisted of polished diecast metal and some plastic parts the tired are of real rubber and you have the options to display with landing gear or without same with or without stand, the stand is made of wood and has a metal rod applied to it with rubber cushioning to avoid damage when applying the model to the stand, well thought of JC Wings to do that :cool:

All in all I am very pleased with the build quality and the amount of high quality printed decals this model contains, it puts this Chinese Queen to all her quality standards.
The photo's I made i am really happy with that they turned out this good
If any of you seek help finding this exact model I can tell you to be prepared since it's very rare and hard to find for a good deal.

Inflight 200 also made this B747-409 from China Airlines with the same livery, but Inflight 200 uses the Cradle Method to apply the main wings to the fuselage and JC Wings just applies the wings to the Fuselage without the cradle method resulting far lesser seam and such things.
But Inflight 200 does tend to had slightly darker decals, even so both brands are highly advised when it comes to perfect details and mould accuracy.
All in all this model brings the Boeing 747-400 to all it's rights, well worth having for every Queen model fan out there
