I am thinking about a pci variant.
What are the pros and cons about pci vs agp?
Is pci a significant bottleneck?
Furthermore... What will be the difference of vsa100 rev220 to rev320 chips in performance?
(Have 4 rev320 chips left for my potential order)
I had never informed myself about compatibilty of the v56k... Spoken for the aalchemy the game titles are ver rare. Is the compatibility of the 4 chip card the same like the voodoo 5 5500?

You can use more Mainboards with the PCI-Version.
You can put the PCI-Version in a system like a voodoo 2
Contra PCI
The AGP Version could have better picture quality (i will test that when my red card is here)
You need to find a fast Mainboard with PCI-X to use all the power (with no/2x AA)
Yes the PCI is a bottleneck.
You can clock the rev320 chips higher then the rev220 so you can go with up to 195mhz with a 220 and a 320 might go up to 215mhz maybe 220 mhz (depending on the chips so don't blame me if your 220 just do 180 ....)

the pci 33/66mhz version of the third series gives you the possibility to use the video card on a faster and newer platform.

The 33mhz pci slot can become a bottleneck for the 3rd series pci version, so we recommend a 66mhz pci-x motherboard.
The difference in the VSA-100 rev220 and 320 chip is limited to video card overclocking. The 320 is more tolerant of frequencies at 200mhz and above.
The only cards that were assembled with the vsa-100 rev 320 chip received the chips to be soldered directly from the new owner. Currently this chip is not available in the classic warehouses. You can try asking here on VA.de if there is someone willing to sell it.
Regarding compatibility, I don't know of any titles which are incompatible with this video card. Same as the v5 5500.
You can order the video card with heatsinks installed or without heatsinks.
Colour, lettering and customisation of the video card are also not a problem. However, all of this comes at a cost, if a single custom video card is ordered, which increases the cost by 50% over the normal price, which is around $1.5k.
The box with the manual is available for the Agp Snow White version.

No you don't need a primary card.
It is a possibility and not a necessity.
You can use Voodoo as a secondary card in a relatively modern system.

I’m not sure it is fixable. I got it unused so I plugged it in and turned it on and was greeted with a very loud BANG. But if someone is willing to take a look at it that would be awesome.

I’m from the United States, unfortunately. But I have had to backfire work on 2 of my voodoos already. His work is nothing short of a miracle. But if you know anyone state side that can who might be able to fix it let me know cus id love to have that thing working again.

Please be careful with the MSI KT3 Ultra II, the board is not safe for a V56K. I read about it years ago in a magazine article published on the internet.
This board is great for a Voodoo 5 5500 AGP system.
You asked me about mainboard recap and repair. If you have several mainboards that need to be worked on, then it is of course no problem to send me one that I can try to repair. But unfortunately - if a mainboard is defective, a repair without a circuit diagram is rarely successful in the mass of different types and revisions that exist.
