Quotecompared to the 512mb config the 256mb one has no issues. that's how big the difference is.
but then since the 128MB Config is also needed for some games there should be a third bios.

Exactly 256MBhas issues in some games 128MB does not which is why I mentioned 128MB / 512MB Bios, if 512MB makes no difference over 256MB< why even have the option for 256MB anyways.
Good point Voodoo5
ps. my 3dfx friends in Argentina would say Vudu5 it's shorter and reads the same
512mb config is just for existence, not for real usage. until someone will modify the driver sources.
here's the pics:

as the 3dfx tools doesn't display video card config in win2k/xp i made a screen of the 3dm01 display properties.
looks fantastic
thanks for sharing the pictures !!!
128 and 256 seem equally useful. but reflashing one bios for 512 just for playing around and testing is complicated.
Why not include third bios on next rev. I mean if there is work on the digital out anyway.
cant wait for progress here. i want such a card. Thats finally the 6k it should have been.
i also like it, and the card has big potential due to the 512mb and digital output.
One ideea is to integrate this 3 new features ( plus the 3-rd bios ) into a standard v56k layout. that would be just amazing !!!
no way to place 8 ram chips per vsa chip in a standard layout.
this time the value of the 512mb config is close to zero until serious driver development will be made.
with other memory sizes ?
keep the 4 ram for each VSA, but bigger size.
Not sure if bigger exists
jo we specifically asked for this 2x2 card and anthony really made it possible.....................
and this must habe been a lot of work.
Lets be thankful for this and hope there will be a bigger number of this card type soon. i want one.
AGP and PCI. Dont want it stay a prototype.
so please appreciate.. This card is insane.
apart from this cooling is much better,
Probably even better in terms of signal paths...
looks a bit like one of the AAlchemy 4116 prototypes..
and even a bit like the comdex card.
I like the card as PCI
perfect for Shuttle Computer
and can be cooled with one 120mm Fan
When I had to much money, I would buy one
Next Step would be an AAlchemy card as AGP
But I thing this would need an new better driver...
voodoo 2 sli via agp interface:

There are 3 buttons in the buttons of the Texteditor, you take the middle one:
Now you press the "Hochladen" / Upload in English
And then select "Original einfügen"
It looks like a nice Card!
But i think you should add the second hole in the Back, to add a holding bracket.
Have you ever tested with 66 mhz PCI and the Voodoo 2? As far as i have seen it should support it. So you might go AGP 66mhz --> PCI 66mhz.
Also did you ever build a 3 TMU V2?
alright, it works, thank you.
this card is longer than v56k, so no idea what case would fit it with bracket mounting. i guess no one among older ones with such brackets support.
pci66 works fine. d3d apps would benefit from higher bus clock. but not the glide ones.
sure i can make 3-tmu v1 and v2 cards, but no software support except special simulators which were made for primary image cards.
such benefits 3-tmu config has, but it requires support from both driver and app sides.
Wow, wonderful.
what does it cost if you would build some of these cards.
i have an obsidian v2agp Card and i would like to bench it against this one.
Is it possible to turn off SLI? Like performance of only one v2 card.
sli could be easily disabled via sst variable. i guess there will be 0 difference in terms of performance. but we may try
price is $700.
Wow looks really great! I have an Obsidian 2 200 sbi with your 2D board (with S3 chip). I think, it should perform similar?
Do you need a special driver for your card?
the black 200 sbi card doesn't support 66mhz bus. the green one does. thus in d3d apps agp card will outperform these in the pci33 slot.
no special driver required.
