    just try it for testing purposes to see if the video cards will be able to run. if it won't then it means either your config is wrong or you doing something not right.

    zxc64.com is your site? I have see an PowerVR PCX2 Card. Do you know whether the PCX2 is pin compatible with PCX1? I have found an PCX1-Card, who someone has cut off the PCI contactor looking for gold. If both are pin compatible, it is possible to aquire a card without an PCX2? Then I will solder my PCX1 on it.

    yes, pcx1/2 chips are pin compatible. but pcx1 has a lower clock and no textures filtering (grainy textures).

    probably it's possible to make what you want.

    Ich habe ein Problem mit der Snow White. Der 3. Lüfter läuft nicht mehr an. Erst dachte ich der Lüfter ist defekt. Hab nen anderen Lüfter von der Karte auf dem 3PIN 12V Anschluss angesteckt, geht auch nicht. Dann habe ich den Lüfter mal auf einem MoBo getestet...er läuft an und funktioniert einwandfrei. Was mich natürlich traurig macht...es scheint, dass der 3PIN 12V Anschluss auf der Karte einen Defekt hat.

    Ich bin mit Anthony bereits in Kontakt...aber ich denke die Karte nach Russland schicken ist seit 2 Jahren nicht mehr. Sprich ich brauche womöglich Hilfe aus Deutschland um die Snow White wieder in Gang zu bringen.

    Laufen tut sie ja einwandfrei.

    Von daher, ein Hilferuf eines 3dfx Fans. :) Helft mir. ;)

    Nein, die Karte hat 1500USD gekostet und hier erwarte ich 100% Funktion. Also für mich keine Option.


    Aber sowas hatte ich auch noch nicht, dass ein "Anschluss" versagt...ich hätte gerne die Snow White wieder 100% funktionierend. ;)

    Ich wäre sehr dankbar, wenn wir hier ne Lösung finden würden. :)

    Hier würde ich mich an Backfire wenden. Eventuell ist auch die Hilfe von Oskhar nötig, der auch Platinenschäden reparieren kann (hat er bei meiner 6000 machen müssen). Oskhar ist nicht ganz billig, aber er kann schon was! In meinem Fall hat Backfire die Korrespondenz und alle nötigen Versendereien von/zu Oskhar für das was er selbst nicht richten konnte übernommen. Die Gesamtreparatur inkl. etlicher neuer Bauteile hat in meinem Fall irgendwas um die 600€ gekostet. Da wurde aber viel mehr gemacht als nur ein einzelner Schaden gerichtet.

    Das wär so meine Idee.

    Edit: Habe gerade meinen Austausch mit Backfire nochmal durchgeschaut. Die Fehlersuche und Platinenreparatur von Oskhar war mit 320€ bepreist.

    Edit 2: Hab das "600€" auf "irgendwas um die 600€" geändert, den genauen Betrag habe ich nicht rausgesucht, also grains of Salt inkludiert. ;)

    Selbstverständlich.

    Ich tippe einmal auf eine Unterbrechung auf dem PCB. Die Fans werden alle an einer Rail liegen. Letzte Lösung wäre ein feines Kupferlackdrähtchen, parallel zu einem anderen Fan Connector. Je nach dem was ihm fehlt, Ground, DC oder beides.
    Schick' einfach rüber wenn Du alles geregelt hast. :)

    Single power line from the AGP slot goes for all connectors, there's nothing to fail. As fans are 12v rated thay may have insufficient power to start if 5v in your system goes slightly low.

    If you wish i can ship new original AAVID fans 5v rated as you may see on v56k cards. But they are high rpm if you're not aware of this.

    So damage to the circuit board is ruled out? You mean it can really only be the fan? I will test this at the weekend, maybe the replacement fans will come from AliExpress.


    Don't the original AAVIDs have a completely different connection? Much smaller...
