    FINALE BENCHMARKS ONLINE!

    Moin,

    english

    Hello,

since I had distributed some benchmarks of my "Snow White" AGP in various posts, I thought I'd summarize my findings here (I'll link the other posts here):

    a) NO reasonable function with the ECS K7VTA3 Rev. 6.0 (VIA KT333CE, SB: VT8235) and the ASUS CUV4X-D Rev. 1.03 with AGP2PCI adapter from osckhar (VIA Apollo Pro 133) - I always get a yellow exclamation mark at the graphics card under Windows 98SE or Windows 2000 Pro, no matter which drivers I install, with or without VIA chipset drivers (in all possible versions). There is no VGA signal at all when using the "Snow White" with my AGP2PCI adapter on the EPoX board!

    b) With the ASUS board (see above) there is no yellow exclamation mark under Windows XP Pro, but the graphic card switches to unknown modes (42 Hz etc.) in 3D - no matter if Glide, OpenGL or D3D.

    c) The "Snow White" or its drivers do not work on 64bit systems (so also the statement of Anthony).

    d) 256MB VRAM produce in Unreal Tournament 99 under Glide texture errors and under Direct3D heavy graphic errors. Likewise, a crash occurs in 3DMark 2000 when using the Amigamerlin driver after the 1st test. If you switch to 128MB VRAM, these errors are gone.

    e) Benchmarks:

    (all 1024x768x16, Quake2 "crusher.dm2", Quake3 "four demo", UT '99 "benchmark.dem", 3DMark 2000 "Standard Benchmark)
