You can't say it that easy. 16:10 can be "bigger" than 4:3. But 4:3 also can be "bigger" than 16:10, see.

Above: Broad appears smaller.It's just they took bigger numbers, you could call 4:3 16:12 aswell, like you could call 16:10 4:2.5. It's a marketing trick.
At least it's not 16:9!
still 16:10 has a more naturla look to the eye as 30% extra fiel of view thus the best for Flightsims it' s 4:3 screen but 30% wider , thus more surface as abetter impact on new gen games it's not a marketing thing it's a true natural design and I find it work alot better but hey that's me bud
