Probier mal nen älteren SFFT, der sollte diesen Fehler nicht aufweisen. Gut sind die SFFTs bis ca. Version 46. Darüber ist oftmals muell (tm).

it's a d3d bug in the w2k drivers. i'm sure that the glide games won't expose it. what is your system?
the w2k drivers have more bugs than w9x ones.
also the most compatible system is via kt266/333. and Win2k 1.05.05 is not supporting 4-chip cards, forget about it. only 3rd-party drivers for win2k/xp are working with such cards. and again win9x drivers are much better just because 3dfx spent more time working on these.

At the moment it's running with WinXP. I'm still trying to set-up the system with win98, but it seem's that's a tricky one.
Surrimugge Kannst du mal bitte ein scharfes Bild von der Vorderseite und der Rückseite der Karte einstellen? Ich habe da eine Vermutung. Evtl. auch eine Abhilfe.
Ich schau mal wie ich das hinbringe.
Anscheinend ist da doch was nicht in Ordnung. Ich vermute mal eine Lötstelle. Für einen defekt im Chip sieht das zu sauber aus.

Die originale V56k läuft sicher mal mit einem Gigabyte GA-7DXR+ (AMD).
Ich hatte sie auch schon auf einem Gigabyte GA-8ST667 Rev. 3.0 (Pentium 4) zum laufen gebracht.
Die "Strange God" AGP ist hier etwas spezieller. Aktuell habe ich selbiges P4 Motherboard verbaut. Beim Aufstarten macht sich das BIOS mit folgendem Peep-Code bemerkbar "1x long, 3x short Beeps", was soviel wie "One long beep followed by three short beeps means that either the video card isn't installed or the memory on the video card is bad." heisst.
Das 2D-Signal ist da, via Amigamerlin 3.1-R11 läuft auch schon eine 3DMark2000-Demo 640x480 durch. Mit dem vorherigen Treiber "Win2k 1.05.05" gab's schon mal Abstürze und Grafikfehler bei der Demo. Ohne Neustart lief da nichts mehr.

Not tested yet. But I think that comparison has to wait.
The good old V56k needs a little capacitor replacement and a power supply check. Last time, the card wasn't starting up every pc-startup. And after reading Backfires thread about the onboard powersupply-problem, it's to risky to power it up again without a check by an expert.

I don't think the current situation will change in the next few months, that's an illusion. I hope it doesn't get worse.
So I have to wait, that's ok. A month, a year... I don't mind. There are more important things than a card.

I am sorry to hear you have lost your shares and the trouble that is refering to that. But like you said health and family comes first, so I hope it wont ruin your life you build up so far.
As far as I am concerned, I am totally fine to wait. There are many other priorities now. Take all the time you need to take care of your family and yourself during these times.
And as there already too many experts about this conflict out there, lets keep the war out of this. War is and was never in interest of common people, so we shouldn't let us divide by this.

important question to those who want the card in the color box. i've got some from the print shop and found that i wrongly ordered it with matte finish. was intended to be glossy.

I gave you the option, because you had a huge amount of images to manage and this was the easiest option. It's looking good now.
But I won't change my decision for now, adding new images for third parties. I mean, the gallery is working now, but for how long? I don't have time to fix it instantly when something breaks.
Gold Leader : I don't want to open the gallery for third parties again. Legal reasons, administration time and the gallery isn't officialy supported anymore by the developers. You can keep your images in the gallery. But for this you have to tell me, which folders you want to keep and which you want to delete. There is a lot of non-3dfx-stuff in there.
MadYoshi: Danke Dir. Ja, Login ist hier möglich. Anscheinend hat hier die neue Gallery-Version ein sehr vereinfachtes UserManagement eingebaut. Wie schon geschrieben wird es vorerst nur eine ReadOnly-Geschichte sein.

Nun warum ich diesen Thread erstellt hab. Der Inhalt der alten Gallery musste ich auf Jahreswechsel, auf Grund beendeter PHP 5.X Unterstützung des Hosters (machte völlig Sinn, Security etc.), auf eine neue Version migrieren, welche mit PHP 7.X lief. Mit dem Wechsel konnte ich so um die 90% der Bilder übernehmen und retten. War einiges an Handarbeit inkl. Kontrolle der Alben, Bilder und Alben aus den Backups wiederherstellen etc.. Der Rest war auf Grund korrupten Datenbankeinträgen verloren.
Ich hätte auch sagen können, lass das Ding sterben. Konnte ich aber nicht, zuviel Arbeit steckte von Euch darin, die Alben zu erstellen und zu pflegen.
Ja, meine Art der Kommunikation wurde mit der Zeit lausig und existierte quasi mit der Zeit nicht mehr. Da kam zu dieser Zeit halt viel privates dazwischen etc.
Ich hatte auch nicht mehr gross Zeit die Gallery zu administrieren. Dazu kam, dass es plötzlich ausartete und sie teilweise für Nicht-3dfx-Sachen missbraucht wurde.
Klar, man kann hier und da auch mal ein Auge zudrücken. Bilder von Rechnern, anderer ComputerHardware, Screenshots waren immer noch gerne gesehen. Aber Steine? Dinosaurier und Flugzeuge?
Auch bezüglich der Gallery-Updates, welche fehl schlugen. Irgendwann wurde es mir zu bunt.
Sorry für das, kann's nicht ändern. Bin immer noch lausig was das betrifft.
Was den aktuellen Stand betrifft, so bezweifle ich, das ich den Upload für Dritte wieder freischalten werde. Klar, wäre schon schön, wenn sie grösser werden würde. Aber die Gallery muss administriert werden, Bilder kontrollieren (Rechtliches etc.) da ich als Hoster vverantwortlich hierfür bin, Updates und Backups 
, Verantwortung usw.

Das ist Surrimugges (oder eher das von seinem Bekannten) Ahornalp 4000x1075 Panorama. Aber nicht gestreckt, sondern ausgeschnitten. Find' ich immer wieder schön.
