Heh, nice metal monstrosity, and an unsual choice of colours for a GeForce.

8 GPU's on one table, well, one might say, that's a lot of Rendering Power there on your Desktop, lol.
(Still love your 7900 GX2! )
-
yeah that your fav hey hehe and the 7900 GX2 is still the biggest really a neat model truly agree, for people with small cases and that want to use a GX2 the 7950 GX2 has a very neat small size
-
As many people do, I prefer the BIG stuff... hahem...

Since I wanted to know what happens when you put 6 x WD 500GB RE3 24/7 HDD's in a raid 0 array on this monster, well the result I got was a max of 200.4MB per sec, a phenominal amunt of loading power, CoD4 mups load within in a click of a few secs, this was with a buggy Raid5 setup, some how the raid chipset was not supported well by Vista, my mate and I had to find another way to fix this.
Ah well I have to admit that this was a very cool project to work on , next upgrade is an Areca ARC-1220 Raid controller and a second GTX 295 Red Edition for a Quad SLI setup.
This ARC-1220 will eliminate the bottlenecks which the onboard raid controller creates, now I get about 200.4GB per sec avr. which isn't bad, but if you can make the system faster? well I'm like do it, heh I got so far , so I'll bring it to it's max.
As for the second GTX 295 RE, this is to bring this system to it's max rendering proportions without any bottlenecks what so ever.
The ARC-1220 is a PCI-E x8 raid card, with this card I'll buy a 7th 500GB RE3 HDD and in total I'll have 7 HDD's and I'll run a Raid 6 array, with lot's of speed and the best security array possible, 5 HDD's for use 2 for security
well I did get a higher max this time 219MB per sec my lowest was about 105MB per sec my AVR is 184.7 MB per sec:

crazy system mate
-
yeah sure is Turrican here's more about that IPMI 2.0 card it has:
Here's screenshot I made of the IPMI card at work
http://www.3dfx.ch/gallery/d/3641…ual+2380+C2.jpgwhat you see are the temp & rpm sensors at work, I read this out via the Dual Opteron 248 CG and basically you can read this out on any system in the world , only I will need a No IP adress hehe.
What also is possible is that you can install games on it via another system or two max and uses these systems as ISO's to install multiple programs on it.
It's also to switch the system off via another system and hereby also check the tems and other health status events of the IPMI 2.0 armed system, it also can be switched on as well from another system, this all goes via the network and via the hub or switch to the IPMI 2.0 card.
This is a very neat device, never knew it would be this handy.
the link of the pic is a bit messed up, i can't click it.
It's fixed now

Thanx man Well it did take some time to gather the needed parts but yeah it all paid off alrighty -

Hmm make pics of our setup too man would be also a neat fir in this topic I hope GAT doesn't mind hehe Hey GAT if you have new pics of your setup fully running, love to see more from your side as well and from the quad SLI 9800 GX2 setup which also someone from VA has m can't remmeber who that was SATKABEL or FS03 heh.
-
yep of course when i got all stuff together i will post some pics from my new system.
-
That would be very nice TM30 Oh btw I renamed the system back to Blue- Leader, it just fits it more to the Blue Leader Y-Wing I put onit and it's blue and white CCFL's , just having problems wotht he name rofl

I don't mind anybody hijacking my thread, it's ok, as long as it's about SLI stuff I'd say.
But more pics of my system would basically mean just more of the old stuff you have already seen on the first page, so there is not much point in taking more pics I think.
