Anandtech hat eine inoffizielle Roadmap in die Hände bekommen, in der die geplanten Prozessoren für das zweite Quartal 2006 aufgelistet sind. Außerdem ist zu erkennen, dass AMD mit einem ganzen Portfolio an Sockel M2 Prozessoren den Gegner Intel ins Schwitzen bringen will. Der Sockel M2 erfordert logischer Weise neue Prozessoren, Speicher (DDR2) und neue Chipsätze, nVidia hat bereits bekannt gegeben, dass sie zum Launch der Sockel M2 CPUs einen passenden Chipsatz im Programm haben wollen. Während man bei Intel auf die LGA Bauform setzt, bleibt AMD auch beim M2 der neueren PGA-ZIF Baufrom treu.
